    Metropolol

Ok, Metropolol was discontinued during my last hospital stay, along with Lisinopril. After going cold turkey on the 2 meds, my vitals were at the normal range for about 15 or 16 days. Keep in mind, I was lying in bed the whole time there. Since being discharged from the hospital, I first...

Hello everyone, Hope all is well! Quick question, the doctors told me that I would now be getting test strips mailed to me. It’s been about a month since I first spoke with the distributor. Since then I spoke with them 3 other times. Yesterday I was told that Roche was going to send me a...

    Home from the hospital!!!!

after 15 or 16 days in the hospital, due to bleeding. The first 5 days in ICU. It’s great to be back home. All the time there, I was questioning my medication. Of the different medication I take on a daily basis, the 100 mg of Metropol was as the one that I’ve been having the hardest time...

My 72 year old Dad is not the same after Heart Valve replacement surgery.

Ahh, the Tmax.. nice bike, Before surgery I rode a 2006 Vmax. After it was advised to stay off of motorcycles, I decided to get a scooter, a2009 Honda Silverwing. If I may Pellicle, are you more cautious after surgery to ride your bike? I seem to be very more cautious, to the point...

My 72 year old Dad is not the same after Heart Valve replacement surgery.

Yes, I’m a lot younger than your dad, but after AVR last year, I fell into a deep depression. Already being a sufferer from anxiety, this was totally different. Motorcycle’s were a big part of my life before surgery, but I have since lost interest. Also, I’ve been an industrial...

    Hospital stays, talk with surgeon

Pellicle, The Coumadin was started about 3 days ago, along with the heparin drip. After getting the false inr reading the heparin was discontinued. Then the mixup was revealed, and the heparin was re started. Funny thing is, while still taking an elevated dose of Coumadin, it went down.3 %

    Hospital stays, talk with surgeon

I’ll have to look into dyphagia. For almost for as long as I can remember, I was told that I suffered from a hyital hernia. Not sure if I spelled it right, but it’s a narrowing of the food pipe. I should have gotten it fixed a long time ago. I’ve tried talking with doctors about getting...

    Hospital stays, talk with surgeon

Pellicle, From what I was told, they used a laser then clamps as repair. They seem to think that this procedure was a permanent fix. The only thing they worried about was, once they got the inr back to therapeutic range that bleeding might happen. At time of surgery, inr was 0.8 as of...

The esophagus problem has started about 6 months ago. While at a Christmas party at work, a bite of barbecue chicken got caught in my windpipe. After managing to cough up most of it, a very small piece stayed in the esophagus. The air path was clear, but i could not swallow water or...

    Hospital stays, talk with surgeon

Pellicle, The issue is a ulcer of the esophagus. It seems to be under control. I guess all the preparation work to do any type of medical procedure .The blood thinners always seem to have the doctors scratching their heads.Perhaps I should concentrate more on being healthy. I guess I’ve...

Pellicle, I always look for your comments. I consider you a very smart logical person. I admit the bleeding has all been from the same issue every time. My INR levels have been in range , testing twice weekly at home. The thought of him asking me the question he asked...
