    Follow up visits with cardiologist

It has been my experience in all the years since 2000 that for the first year or 2 after surgery, (and I have had 3), they would like to see you every 6 months, then reduce that to once annually. However, if they suspect a concern after the annual tests, they will then request that they see you...

Hi, I guess the concern that I see in this study is two fold, the study called for aspirin and Plavix. Patient could not take aspirin. So why stay on the study using Plavix alone. This brings me to my next concern. All the commercials I see for Plavix and other drugs like it clearly say "not...

    The old members

Hi Gang,, I am still around too. I've on here since 2001. I don't post as often as I used to, mainly because I reason that many of the newer folks coming on are more up-to-date on new and exciting advances in OHS. I don't keep up with it as much except for reading the posts from others on...

Hi Steve, I can't get mine over 125 when I am jogging on the treadmill at a 4.5 mph pace. But then again I am taking 100 mg of Atenolol both AM and PM. I think the Tortoise can beat me in a race these days. Add to that, I am just now getting over having a Double Ablation last month. Two...

Dental work after surgery. Totally confused and then WOW!

Well, Interesting article. So if I am reading it correctly, you basically should wait about 6 months after OHS to have dental work, and that when you do, pre-medicate. I look at it this way, Better safe than sorry. During teeth cleaning, it is easy for gums to bleed, as the hygienist sometimes...

    Safe vitamins?

I take my multi-vitamin, and it does contain Vit K. It really is simple. If you take your vitamin every day, then the Vit K dose is the same everyday from that multi-vitamin. You simple adjust your Coumadin dose, and it does not fluctuate after stabilizing to your new dose.
