Going back to America when my aortic stenosis becomes severe or stay in Asia? What sayeth my valve peeps ?)

I certainly don't hate the USA. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity this country gave me. I came from a family with nothing and have made a good life for my family. It still is a place of opportunities. But now we have a sociopath media outlet, political landscape and social media...

Going back to America when my aortic stenosis becomes severe or stay in Asia? What sayeth my valve peeps ?)

I personally would stay in my favorite place to live, sounds like Thailand is yours. I am 55 and just had AVR. Out in 5 days and on my own with very little help. You got this. With the way the USA is heading I would not move back here myself. Its become a polarized place to live. If I didn't...

I am 55 and have found edibles as a good solution. I grew up in CA and weed has been part of my culture my whole life. I live in the south now and it is a whole different attitude here. I do not have a mechanical Valve (I have a Inspiris Valve) so I cannot speak for INR. My whole life my older...

A seemingly common question.......Planning head on

I choose the Resilia Valve. I know its a risk and after being on here daily for the last 5 months I recognize that mechanical may have been the best choice for a 55 year old man. The others here are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to valves. The main Honest reason why I went with Resilia. I...

Good to hear, I had my Resilia valve put in Nov 19 2020. I am working out daily, doing yard work and already feel better than the few years before surgery. One note my valve does make noise. Only time will tell but good to hear from others who have the same valve. Not sure what will take me out...

    Honest Answers

I am 55 and had AVR surgery Nov 19 2020. Your fear is valid. The hard part was updating our living trust and medical directive making videos for my kids just in case the worse case happened. Then I went onto positive mode. I recommend you see your new life as one of gratitude. You will make it...

First off thanks to the staff at Centennial Heart Nashville. Amazing care and a great experience from the whole team. My Surgeon was proactive and I am really glad he empowered me to do my own research. At age 28 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. After a splenectomy and radiation at age 28...
