Out of curiosity, how many of you that have a cough are on Cozaar and/or Lopressor for blood pressure? I was told today by my RN that a cough is a common symptom of those medications.

I have some coughing issues post AVR. I can barely drink water without coughing for some reason. I've learned that if you tilt your head down to swallow it's easier. It's gotten much better over the last couple of weeks, but still is a daily issue. Hurts like hell!

But can you see how anecdotal evidence could confuse the cause of say, hair loss? Just because you happen to started taking warfarin at the same time your hair started falling out, doesn't make them necessarily related to one another. This highlights the importance of controlled clinical trials...

Can you provide citations for any of this? As far as I can tell, these are all symptoms of getting older, which would definitely coincide with needing a valve surgery. I have not been able to find anything relating warfarin to pretty much anything you listed above.
