Another cry out for help…Ablation or no ablation!

Thank you, @Protimenow. I hope ablation will be easy if decided on! My top-notch electrophysiologist in 2019 and again in 2022 told me that ablation in my case is risky (though doable)! He gave me literature to read about it where there’s a mention that ablation may not be successful! And I...

Another cry out for help…Ablation or no ablation!

Thank you, pellicle, for responding. This whole experience at this hospital emergency was more stressful than assuring. But, I’m happy my cardioversion was done just in time and performed by my trusted and admired cardiologist. However, I couldn’t help but wonder why my electrophysiologist...

Another cry out for help…Ablation or no ablation!

. I’m sorry you too are going through this too. . When my pulse went up to 134-144, I felt it too. The bed was shaking with each beat. I had a short episode in July of 110 bpm. I took an extra 25 mg of Metoprolol and it was resolved itself after 4 hours. After my second cardio version, my BP...

Another cry out for help…Ablation or no ablation!

Thank you for responding. Yes, they want to perform EP study “FIRST” to know which side is causing this. The doctor didn’t clarify that they may not do ablation…my understanding was once they verify which side is causing this arrhythmia, they’ll schedule an ablation. Even this procedure is a bit...

Another cry out for help…Ablation or no ablation!

Last Sunday (8/18), my iWatch alerted me at 1 p.m. that my pulse was over 100 for ten minutes while inactive. Although this was the fourth time since 2019, I was again taken by surprise because I felt fine and normal like the previous times! I had no symptoms—my blood pressure was normal, no...

Frequency of teeth cleanings at the dentist

I go three times a year. As Lisa said, insurance pays for two cleanings. I pay out of pocket for the third visit.

    IR US Breast Biopsy

Of course, @pellicle, I was not sarcastic. I, never, am! I was simply confused, worried, and anxious after the unpleasant repeated calls from my doctor’s office … once to repeat mammogram, then to have an ultra sound, followed by the request for the need of biopsy! I could not think clear … it...

Anyone had 3 valve replacement surgeries?

I don’t think mine sound like *castanets*!😄 but they sound fun enough for my grand nephews and nieces to put their heads and listen to the ticking!

    IR US Breast Biopsy

Honestly, I didn’t know what I was thinking. Maybe I thought my INR should still be within 2.5-3.5 range!

    IR US Breast Biopsy

Thank you, Lisa, for asking. I have both good and bad news. I have been diagnosed with non-invasive papillary carcinoma which will be removed by lumpectomy. Yet, the definitive assessment of invasion ought to await histopathological examination of its complete excision. I shall be meeting...

    Bridging after biopsy

Thank you very much @pellicle, Yes, this is very helpful. I’ll be happier to reduce the days of Lovenox injections. So, I took 10 mg tonight. Thanks again. I’ll keep you informed and will save your recommendation for next time (which unfortunately might be soon)!

    Bridging after biopsy

Thank you. INR was 1.0 on the day of the procedure. It is still 1.0. I restarted warfarin regular dose I was on before (5.75 mg) last night. His instructions were for the first biopsy: “ * hold warfarin 4 days before the procedure (and hold coumadin until at least 1 day after the procedure...

    Bridging after biopsy

Edited after posting: my cardio just responded that I need to take my warfarin too. So just disregard this post. Thank you. I am a bit confused between my cardio’s instructions and the information I found online regarding post-procedure bridging. I’m taking my lovenox injections. Should I...
