    Amiodarone and tremors

Good news. Hope you continue improving. What medication did they put you on? In my case, when my TSH is low (which indicates ‘hyper-active’ thyroid level), my hands tremble!

Stroke 1 year ago now covid

Sorry to hear this and encourage her to REGULARLY TEST her INR. I had a TIA five years after my surgery due to low INR level! Cause: I had not checked my INR for ten days before it happened, *wrongly presuming* my INR was within range!

    Supplements (never been a fan)

“ People take these supplements to make sure they get enough essential nutrients and to maintain or improve their health. But not everyone needs to take supplements.” “ Evidence does suggest that some supplements can enhance health in different ways. The most popular nutrient supplements are...

    Supplements (never been a fan)

I had been a supplement and vitamin fan for most of my life until the last four years. Doctor’s didn’t mind me taking them, yet every single doctor’s advice was always to save my money!

    New cardiologist

Both of my PCP and my new cardio check with me about my INR and the dose I’m taking! My ex-cardio (I fired recently) didn’t seem to me as a competent cardio since I started seeing him about 3.5 years ago. I wish I followed my guts and left him earlier before he failed me when I most needed him...

What is a good watch/ wearable to measure heart rate and heart rate variability?

I loved my Fitbit when I had it…loved the continuous heart rate monitoring (very accurate), sleep analysis (very accurate), its hourly reminders to move, steps counting, its long battery life and its price. My hubby made me switch to iWatch because it had ECG which Fitbit didn’t have then! It...

Look for someone else. Ask your primary doctor to recommend someone. Good luck.

I can't even GIVE my meters away

I get errors too, at least once in every pack. I This happens mostly when I buy them at a good bargain price!

Should I Stil Have Shortness Of Breath One Week Post Surgery?

I’m a stress eater too, but I learned that when I start my day with healthy food filled with protein, fiber, no sugar, good fat only, the less I ate or craved for food during the day! stay away from sodas or worse diet sodas!

Should I Stil Have Shortness Of Breath One Week Post Surgery?

Hope you continue to improve. When you were discharged, they might have given you “instruction” on how to exercise/walk, increase your speed, etc. You may also ask your cardio to send you for cardiac rehab! Best of luck.

    Foods on warfarin

Be careful. Glad you’re well (until now), but please don’t depend on your luck! After six years of taking warfarin and doing great, I thought I mastered food and dosing! Wrong! I skipped checking my INR one week. What happened: I was at a nail salon and I started seeing a grey shade dropping...

    Foods on warfarin

I eat what I feel like eating…no schedule. I adjust my dose according to what I eat or drink!

    Amiodarone and tremors

Yes! Me! Amiodarone’s half life (it’s side effects after stopping it) may take up to 150 days, depending on the dose you were on! If you had been on it for two years, it may take a longer time before the tremors would stop. In my case, I took Amiodarone for two months and a half (400 mg/day)...

Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind.

Great news, Duffey! Wishing you many more healthy years.

Ivabradine. Anyone tried this to lower heart rate?!

Wow. Thank you, Pellicle. I was hopeful about it as Bloomberg mentioned that it lowered the heart rate of many patients whose heart didn’t respond well to other medications. There was no mention of the side effects!

Ivabradine. Anyone tried this to lower heart rate?!

My husband saw the below article in Bloomberg about Ivabradine as an “alternative that selectively slows the firing rate of the heart’s sinus node, which regulates the speed at which the organ pumps blood.” Quote: To normalize the rhythm of the heart for people with POTS, cardiologists are...

    Resting Heart Rate

Thanks, Vitdoc. I have an appointment with an electrophysiologist with 26 years of experience in electrophysiology. Frustrating that the earliest I can see him is June 29th. I’m put on waiting list for any earlier opening. Stay well.
