    Asymptomatic vs. Symptomatic

It's best not to wait, even if asymptomatic. Your fatigue may or may not be resolved by replacing the valve. Lots of tings can cause fatigue.

    TAVR Forum

Just an update. I am at 4+ years on TAVR and all is fine. At last doc appt, he said the valve is working fine. He also thought I would get at least 15 years from the valve.

    Alternative to Plavix

A friend is taking Plavix and his arms are black from bruising. Any suggestions on alternatives he should discuss with his cardiologist? All I know is he has a couple of stents and had a heart ablation.

    NEWBIE: Needs advice

Glad you are OK. I was unable to pee after I had heart catheterization. I wonder if that might be related to the dye? Same thing after 2 stents put in. When I had TAVR, I took a Flomax just before the procedure and another after the procedure and that seemed to prevent having the problem.

    NEWBIE: Needs advice

ETA: I went back and caught up. So much for my advice saying don't sweat the heart catheterization. Do they have any idea what caused your BP to drop? I removed my other comments as they aren't pertinent now.

    Echo's result accuracy

Maybe a stress test. Do you have sleep apnea? Have you been getting regular exercise?

    Covid Vaccines

You seem to believe your way of viewing the world is the correct and only way to view the world. If someone decides to risk their own safety for the benefit of others, they have decided it is in their best interest to do so. Otherwise, they wouldn't do it. Doctors aren't forced to treat...

    Covid Vaccines

I never said I had or didn't have side effects. It has nothing to do with the discussion. What I said was Ivermectin has few if any side effects. Go to the VAERS database and compare the reported side effects to the side effect of Ivermectin. Or compare the side effects of ivermectin to those...

    Covid Vaccines

The gist of the post was he was thankful he got vaccinated because it resulted in a mild case of covid. My response was that it might have been the fact he already had antibodies. I don't think there is definitive information yet.

    Covid Vaccines

I know that was meant to be insulting, but it's not. I prefer to debate facts and have no reason to insult others or call them names.

    Covid Vaccines

So does the difficulty of access reduce infection rates? Does the Tuskegee Experiment ring a bell? How about the CDC withholding information about the MMR vaccine causing autism in black kids? Maybe African Americans have a reason to be skeptical of the government.

    Covid Vaccines

But he already had antibodies from when he had Covid-19. There is no way of knowing if the vaccine made any difference. If he got Covid in late June and he was in Spain, there is a good chance it was the Delta variant.

    Covid Vaccines

I hope that wasn't your best shot. I didn't make it about race, I simply stated what the statistics show. The highest risk people by proportion, who are not yet vaccinated are blacks and Hispanics. Show me where I am wrong. As I said previously, this has nothing to do with politics and now...

    Covid Vaccines

I think it is closer to 30% to 20% with the other 50% not paying attention. I looked at who is not vaccinated and who should be targeted. it turned out to be a black, male republican without a college degree. Once we get that .05% of the population, we are golden! This has been made political...

    Covid Vaccines

I didn't realize if something was mainstream that meant it was true and could not be challenged. I didn't know that was how science worked. Maybe you would like to examine the clinical trials behind remdesivir and examine how successful the drug actually is. Compare the scientific...

    Covid Vaccines

I don't believe so. I was more than willing to discuss, debate, trade sources, etc, but quickly found out no one else was. Everything I said was wrong and it didn't matter what sources I provided or what studies I quoted. Eventually, I'm afraid, a few people got to me and I started giving back...

    Covid Vaccines

Why should I have to use your criteria? There are multiple ways to evaluate information and the source of information. I am comfortable that I have done the best I can to find reliable sources backed up by scientific studies and by the professional credentials of those presenting the information.

    Covid Vaccines

I never said I was against vaccination. I said if I had it to do over, I probably would not get vaccinated. I believe by taking Ivermectin, I am better protected against Covid-19 than I would be by any of the vaccines and with no side effects.

    Covid Vaccines

There was no smug putdown. Several members made it clear I was wrong and they were right. I was addressing those members who made it clear they were not open to any meaningful discussion.
