    Alsosalt

    That's why I mentioned the caution. I realize that potassium is definitely the issue... caution is necessary. But, for people who are really trying to deal with sodium, in its various forms, this may be really helpful.

    Alsosalt

    Right. The company does provide this caution in their FAQs: There is no sodium chloride in the product.

    Alsosalt

    Bought some Heinz ketchup recently - no salt added. Turns out it contains Alsosalt. Ahh, I can eat McDonald fries again with ketchup and only get one hefty dose of salt. :biggrin2: For those on low sodium diet you might want to check this out: www.alsosalt.com

    coq10 and warfrin....question

    You're right about the consistency. Try googling "CoQ10 and warfarin". Also - if you're planning on more surgery, make sure to find out how much before the surgery you should quit the CoQ10.

    Helloo =)

    Oops, you're absolutely right. Totally forgot about the age. Sarah, that's a good idea about suggesting that one of your parents on here too - I'm sure they would love to help you get stable. Many of us have found that some doctors and others in the medical profession tend to over react when INR...

    My Date is set!

    Glad you got your date. It's helpful to see light at the end of the tunnel. If you do a search for da vinci you should find others who had it.

    Helloo =)

    Sarah, just a hunch but I suspect the cardiac liaison nurse is telling you to change your dose too much and too often. If you're not already doing it keeping track of the dosage per day and the INR readings is a good way to start trying to figure out where you should be.

    Dental Implant

    Do not, I repeat, do not stop your warfarin for 5 days. That's absolutely not necessary. Bob H gave you good info. You should be able to make a deal with the dentist. You'll get down to the low end of your range... probably 2.0? At that point the bleeding would only take twice as long as a...

    We have a new baby

    I'll certainly keep them in my prayers. My twin granddaughters arrived 12 weeks early - 2 lbs and 2 lbs-5 oz. NICU cared for them beautifully. They're now very healthy 2-1/2 year old little spitfires.

    Bridging on Arixtra or no anti coagulation at all?

    I've had two surgical procedures at 2.0 - my surgeons were fine with that.

    I found a supplier associated with my insurance!

    Have you tried going to the supplier and asking them to negotiate the insurance. Try Alere.

    Has the game changed?

    I did see this on the healthcare.gov website: http://www.healthcare.gov/law/provisions/preventive/index.html and http://www.healthcare.gov/law/about/provisions/services/lists.html Love the disclaimers though... (too many ifs for my taste)
