The loss of my buddy Norma still hasn't completely registered in my brain yet......8 years of mutual VR support, shared humor, compassion, common sense, brains, and generosity. Norma was a very special person and was snatched from us too soon. Rest in Peace my friend. (Hugs)

Organ donation is the ultimate gift.....Many years ago my own Mom received a kidney transplant that enriched her life for almost 20 years. Norma and her family continue to do good for others. Missing my buddy.

Just popping in here to check on my buddies and I see that Wise has come back to the flock. Yay ! I remain scrawny even after stress-eating most of the Easter choccies in the house. But I've got to behave and have just eaten raisins and cashews for a snack. Stay strong y'all.

We are losing a great friend and a wonderful human being. Norma was only a month away from her 40 year valversary of her first double valve surgery. Rest in peace my friend. xox

The update from this morning says that Norma was to have an EEG today to check for levels of brain activity...Please continue to pray and hope for our beloved VR member.

Norma is one of our heart buddies from many years ago. She has got to be one of the nicest people that I have ever met. PLEASE come back to us, Norma....xox

At the time of my surgery I was 46 and just a few weeks away from turning 47.....my valve had heavy calcification, and I don't do well with medical procedures....So, a mech valve was my choice. We all have our own reasons for choosing a particular path in life, and so it goes with valve choice...

That thing was on my hospital table daily, but after 2 weeks I ignored it. Best to ask your doc or nurse.

What's with all the cases of bronchitis going around down south ?! Hopefully you all can get over the crud invading your bodies. And hopefully our resident Chimp will be on the upswing again. Rest and healthy eating will help, best wishes.

Your heart was very annoyed at being messed with....maybe now it will behave. These are still the very early days of recovery, if progress is slow, that's okay !

2 surgeries in 4 days is a lot for anybody to handle...But you are going to get through this ! Try to nibble on some foods, nothing will taste right, but it gets things moving along. ((hugs))
