    New Coag-Sense meter

As per Chris signature, he has Tissue valve, so INR 1.2 may not be that big of a deal.

Anybody using Coag Sense for INR testing?

My insurance allows me to go to clinic. I also self-test at home. My clinic blood draw and my self test both are done with CoaguCheck XS.

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

I have really high metabolism (never gain weight). I've gone on bulking phase (up to 5000 calorie diet) for 3 months and only gained 8 pounds. We're planning to use brand name Coumadin for 90 days and see if it stabilizes INR fluctuations. I'm not taking any other medicines (except crestor and...

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

standard INR recommendation for aortic position is 2-3. However my INR fluctuates more than 1 point within 2-3 days and therefore we (me and my cardiologist) agree to 2.5-3.5. I try to be around 3.0, so that even if i my INR goes down by 1, I'm still a 2.0. I'm moving to brand name coumadin...

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

usually you don't need lovenox, if you're not sub-therapeutic for few days, but since I'd a TIA in 2018 and my INR fluctuates a lot (I take 13 mg to maintain 2.5 - 3.5), I don't want to take any chances.

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

I've On-X valve in aortic position and On-X recommends 1.5 - 2.0 with 1 baby aspirin. However my current INR recommended range is 2.5 - 3.5 (because my INR fluctuates a lot) If my INR ever goes below 2.0, i plan to do the following for at least 2 days and then retest. increase my warfarin...

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

Same here. I keep 4 lovenox injections at home, so that if my INR goes too low because of missed dosage, I can take lovenox injections every 10-12 hours for 2 days and use that time to increase my warfarin dosage to bring my INR up. This allows me to not run to urgent care/ emergency to get...

May have forgotten warfarin for two days

i use weekly (4 x / day) pill box, with warfarin scheduled for 7:09 pm and baby aspirin scheduled for 9:30 pm, so that i can recheck if i took warfarin when i take baby aspirin. In addition to the weekly pill box, i also use Medisafe iOS app (helps me find interactions across all the...

    OrangeTheory?

I stopped going to Orange Theory (because of cost reasons), but I go to Boot camp sessions @ LA fitness twice a week. I started slow, used to keep an eye on heart rate, and listened to my body through out the workouts. I've been doing boot camps for last 1+ years without any issues.

    Warfarin and Asprin

forgot to mention that my cardiologist provided me Lovenox injection, so that if my INR goes too low, I can self administer lovenox without rushing to get prescription or head to ER. I'm planning to move to Brand name Coumadin for next 90 days and then decide if i should stay with brand name...

    Warfarin and Asprin

I'd to make following changes after i forgot to take warfarin last month and my INR dropped from 2.9 to 1.4 a) Started using seven day pill box, so that i can check warfarin dosage when i take other medicines. 7:09 am - Levothyroxine 7:09 pm - 13-15mg warfarin 9:09 pm -...

    Warfarin and Asprin

I'd the same issue. I'm trying to maintain INR 2.5 - 3.5 and take 13-15 mg warfarin and 1 baby aspirin. My INR also has a wild range and my body does not keep any residual warfarin, so if I miss my warfarin dosage, my INR nose dives from around 3 to 2. I've been advised to move from generics...

    New Coag-Sense meter

MDINR provided me CoaguSense meter last year for home use. I used it for 3-4 months and personally it was a nightmare. It kept on giving me errors that I was producing air bubble with the blood deposit. Every week, i needed to test 4-5 times before getting the results. I worked with MDINR to...
