When I was discharged from the hospital on the 13th, I had an inr of 2.1. My second clinic check on the 15th showed an inr of 2.0. My third check on the 18th showed an inr of 2.7. My fourth on the 20th showed 2.9. My fifth today, on the 25th of April, showed 2.7. It seems to be pretty stable...

I was told by a cardiologist who did a ward round that a 'St Jude's composite valve' was used which is a valve and graft in one. Not sure if that means the valve piece is a regent? The valve size was 27mm. Don't even know how big they get :Face-Plain:.

Just a quick update to let you guys know that I've been discharged from the hospital after 6 days :). I'm having another appointment in two days time at the hospital for an inr check, and five days time to review the progress of my scars :).

In the ward with a sore bum and chest. Valve ticking almost feels like thumping. There was slight complications where I lost more blood than average.

Thank you all for your posts guys, I really appreciate the help :-) I've received my admission letter from the hospital for this Wednesday. Surgery will take place in 3 days time, since it's now Monday here in the UK. It feels surreal.

I will be going in for a pre-surgery assessment in two days time, for a chest x-ray, blood tests, medical exam etc. I've been in touch with the waiting list manager at the hospital where I'll be having the surgery. She will let me know around mid next week of an official date for sometime in...

I had a donor pulmonary valve at the age of 8. I am now 23, and it is only mildly leaking, and may not progress for a while now, and when it finally does, they have some new technology which will clip my pulmonary valve to fix the leaking. Is leaking the sign of calcification?
