    Time off after surgery

    I'm about four months from second go around (1st at age 20), AVR through hemi-arch this time. Twenty years between... Shoved some snow about 2 weeks after :) - some motions - no discomfort, other motions - not doing that... Boredom really set in about 3 weeks into recovery.. forget watching tv...

    I would believe if there is any sort of this connection, On-X would also be marketing low INR (desired) requirement of their products, due to reduced coumadin requirements. Perhaps at least they are researching the topic...

    That less than 12 hours after leaving the OR, nursing staff was trying to get me to walk. They were successful with an additional unit of blood and further 6 hours of time... first OHS: first walking attempt ~ 4 days after... How many IVs and arterial access lines were used and present in ICU...

    Getting my new parts installed next month

    Scary, but damned glad to be alive in this day and age. Is it good to have options. Had Ross procedure age 20 (BAV insufficiency), back in undergrad 3 weeks later. Chose due to active lifestyle. Fast forward almost twenty years: Also had ascending aorta with hemiarch (and Aortic Valve)...
