    Can you trust your dentist?

For all the dentists I have gone to, always pre med and after med, even for cleanings due to the risk of encarditis.

    On-X low INR target

I not only take warfarin with a St. Jude's valve, I also take a lose dose aspirin due to a stroke I had in 2016, valve replacement was in 2001. And you are correct, there is no call on daily aspirin. But there is the Pro-time, or INR that there is a range for both Aspirin and warfarin use.

    Fruits

All the things people say you cannot eat, eat it anyway. Just like anything else we eat that is bad for us, just eat in moderation.

Prepping the house for after surgery

Recliners and life chairs are great, even for sleeping for the first two weeks. And sleep on the first floor. For you do not want to pull up on the railing going up the stairs. I had to work out a system on the bus, for the cord is up. But I managed at home alone. No weight lifting. And be good...

    Cataract Surgery coming soon

I was lucky after they did the right eye, I could see the next day. They cannot do the left eye, eye stroke slowed the cataract progression. Good you are doing better. And the process is what all doctors do, just the pain of the needle and the vibrations are not bad at all. Have a great day.

    Cataract Surgery coming soon

These days, they use a laser, and they numb your eyeball before they use it. Just a little pain during the procedure. But so worth it and you get a pair of shades to wear.

    Sinus Infection Risk Mechanical Valve

You will still get sinus infections, but as long as you go to the doctor and the meds needed, you can try to prevent endocarditis. Hard to prevent 100%. Just take care and follow up on the antibiotics, take them all. And even healthy people can contract endocarditis. Good luck and take care.

    Blood Pressure Differences Between Arms

I had issues back when I was 10 years old, and the nurse did it on both arms. It was new on kids back in the 1980's. Things they learned way back on us kids.

    Blood Pressure Differences Between Arms

I experience this due to the fact, some nurses have not been trained to let the patient get to the room, rest for 5 minutes and then take the BP on each arm. And there can be a slight difference between them. Not unusual at all. And what was the /? for your BP is 117/??, and 138/??

    How often are we testing?

But that was too often for your body has to adjust to the dosing. Once a week is good enough to see if there is adjusting to be made.

    47 year anniversary

Had a friend recommend this place in 2001, a few months before my Aortic valve replacement. It helped me a lot back then as it does now. I have a Mitral Valve calcification now, due to age and past surgery, but am being monitored carefully. When I had my repair on the aortic valve, bypass was...

    How often are we testing?

I also prefer the lab that is into Pro time and uses the same machine as those on the site. We can get the numbers within seconds, and we can figure out things if the number is too low or too high. And if too high, I go to the regular lab for the retest. And get the correct dosing. I have pump...
