    Question regarding life on anti-coagulants

You just do what you normal do for a cut, if the bleeding is excessive, you need to apply pressure to try to get it to stop. If it does not stop after applying pressure, time for the trip to a doctor. Good luck.

    Question about genetic testing!

Wrong dude. My mother was pregnant and had RA for some time. They do not know if RA, in that condition can pass health issues, to the child during birth, cause RA also is known for fevers during inflammation. I studied about it quite a few years ago. The science has not changed all these years...

    Surgery is officially recommended

It will be a lot different after all the years that have passed on pain management. Improvements on how long surgery is. But there is the memory fog, referred to as Pump Head, from the use of meds on the heart/lung machine. Good luck and keep us informed.

    Question about genetic testing!

Yes I was born with defect aortic valve, might have been due to RA. The science is not quite up to speed on many genetic causes of some birth defects at birth. But rest assure there is a family gene for heart defects on my mother's side of the family of heart issues.

    Clinical trial

You are so lucky, for the pharma people will put pressure on the pharmacies and doctors to push these meds on the patient. Even the clinical trials could be money to someone. Good they back off.

It is tougher to get pain relief. Even in the early stage of recovery. I tried to get that same med I had in hospital, for I am bad when it comes to taking pills for pain, hardly touch unless the pain is too much. And it is due to the Opioid abuse.

    Question about genetic testing!

I was not born with RA. My mother had it and RA is still very much under the microscope on what it can cause. I have the defect mainly through the family gene pool. My father even had it and did not know it till later in life. So gene pool has a lot to do with what heart defects we are born...

    Tips to prevent Endocarditis?

It is like for this RSV vaccine, they have it where you have to be 60 to get, despite all the health issues on their list. But I I call that age discrimination for the chronic people. I had the flu seriously bad in 1979, had to sleep sitting up in bed to sleep due to all the congestion. I was...

    Tips to prevent Endocarditis?

Oral health is not the reason of Endocarditis. Even a virus can cause it like from a cold, or allergies that causes you to have a viral infection.

I do not pay my cardio. Insurance like Medicare does. And it never plays. And I think you meant Covid, for Opioid addiction has been around for many years. LOL!

    Acetaminophen and Warfarin

NSAIDS taken sporadically, are quite safe to use, not so much on a daily use. I rarely Tylenol. And only take 81 mg of aspirin due to eye stroke in 2016.

Have the same issue and was replaced with a St. Jude's Aortic leaflet valve. I was 36 at the time. It depends on your decision. You are doing great in doing your homework. And he may be pushing it for there is an incentive for him.

Is numbness of the feet a sign things are getting worse?

Neuropathy has many causes; many believe just for the diabetics. I have neuropathy in my left foot and two toes on the right foot. Poor circulation can be a cause. Just a pain with the numbness. And I use a rollator to keep my balance in check and have a seat when waiting for a bus, or rest on a...
