Bio vs Mechanical for a 31 yr old

astle9 , can you give me the reference your statement: “ i was told no more alcohol of any description as it will destroy the calcification coating”? BTW, I like the thread and the fact most contributors are being respectful of other’s view. I idea to present information as opposed to pushing...

Nice to hear everyone checking in. Every since I joined this challenge to loose 6.something pounds my weight has gone up. :) What a bummer! Winter makes it hard to get outside with the dog or to do work. And I’m envious of those of you who have choices for a place to workout. Living in rural...

Not be be hurtful, but I'm so glad you all are having issues with weight. Since my failure last week, I fee much better today. I'm down two pounds to 188, but according to Steve, that is considered 'bounce' noise. peaking of Steve, I also happy I'm not the only one who gets frustrated with...

I almost forgot. . . MOO is SEVEN!

Steve, I had this great post full of congratulations and philosophical thoughts posted. Then I made the mistake of editing it. It may never appear, but the wish is still valid.

Figured I better get this post in while I’m feeling brutally honest this morning. I have to confess. I have strayed off course - big time. Before I get into that, I want to share concern with SB and his wife. I understand concerns when your partner is either in pain or ill. My wife has been...

Steve, I understand the seasonally variability in weight. I also am about 5 lbs heaver in winter. For me, it is harder to burn calories in winter than summer. My post retirement activities also don't help. Things like reading, playing piano, writing, and technology consulting do little for...

HB, I can only image how well you dance. My dancing ability, according to my wife, is not my strongest suite. When the moment strikes me, I normally close the curtains, make sure nobody is watching and hope to never to be photographed. But, I do believe dancing is good for the heart and sole.

That's funny, Again. I've been to Australia and tested the water spiraling story and can report it is not true. At least not in Sidney or Canberra.

    All done

Welcome to the other side astle9. Once you get down the recovery path, you will find this a fairly nice side. Beats the waiting room and other alternatives.

Hi SB and everyone, my weigth this am was 185.2. I liked that! Now for confusion: I started at 187.6, went up to 189.2. It was homemade blood orange ice cream, homemade baked maringue, homemade bread and the Super Bowl game that caused that gain. (And a dose of no will power on my part.) Does...

Can I get in on the loose 6.4 lb challenge? I weighed in at 187.6 this morning. I always weigh in the am, before I eat anything.

    Pills, pills, and pills

Steve, your comment about “advancing age and mortally” may hold some water, be on target, hit the nail on the head, or have merit. It is deserving of some thought and consideration. Thanks for the feedback.

Hello STC friends. It is a new week and I just realized something about myself that I never shared with anybody before. (Did I capture your interest?) Please don’t think less of me for having these thoughts, for sometimes my philosophical, curious and humorous brain just can’t help it. I...

    Pills, pills, and pills

I suspected my heart valve friends would provide some insight to my thinking. ****, you did a great job of putting it into words: "..Its a sign of modern life and advancing age..." Yes, the alternative is ugly, i.e. death, which is fairy permanent and not near as much fun as living...

    Pills, pills, and pills

All my life, i never liked taking pills or having my body invaded with surgery or instruments. Then I faced either OHS or dying. Then my docs prescribed this medicine for my heart, eye drops so I wouldn't go blind, that pill for my blood pressure, sometime to get my cholesterol in ckeck, and so...
