    Regarding afib

I am not sure if it is meant to be permanent or which of the three different doctors prescribed it. I will look into it. The bottle should show, but I all of them could have been prescribed by the discharging physician. We got the Kardia Mobile and will just keep monitoring it and collecting...

    Regarding afib

Well shoot. Hubby thinks his is constant. One of the doctors I messaged me said we should be getting a wearable monitor in the mail in the next couple of days. I don't know why they wouldn't just give it to us at the hospital, but it is what it is. The Kardia Mobile device arrived yesterday, but...

    Hubby back in a-fib. *sigh*

Just let me know when you have some time. You work Monday through Friday, right? I am off work through next week, but then I go back to rotating shift work, so I have a couple weekends off a month.

    Croatian New member-severe aortic stenosis?

Off topic, but.... THE Denton Cooley did your heart valve surgery? Wow! Hubby had his angiogram at Baylor in the Cooley building. ;) We had to choose between Baylor and Methodist, and ultimately went with Methodist, just due to the experience of the angiogram. While the surgeon was awesome...

    Regarding afib

I got a packet with a bunch of doctors in it, etc. Maybe we will call the doctors office later today. We should be getting the Kardia later today, and he can run that, since it is a 6 lead and it should be a better representation of what is going on. If that also shows afib we will call the...

    Regarding afib

Which makes it hard. Everything says go to the hospital for this, this or that. LOL :P We will figure it out. He got a really good night of sleep and we are going to go out, pick up a prescription and go to the gym and walk around the track. (We are in Texas and the gym is air conditioned, so...

    Regarding afib

He didn't really know he was in afib until he took his readings, so I guess that is a sign he is OK? Although.... He did say he didn't feel well. He is attributing it to being stressed about setting up the watch, and it cutting close to our son's bath time which for some reason he didn't want to...

    Hubby back in a-fib. *sigh*

Oooh, I can see that.... On another note.... my husband scooted under the car to help my son place the jack because my son didn't know how. GRRRR.... He shouldn't be doing that ****. He said he was careful.... Blah

Longest period known before aortic valve replacement needed

Yep. My husband's was diagnosed 18 months before he was at the point of needing surgery and 22 months before he had surgery.

    Regarding afib

When is it an issue post surgery? If anti-coagulants are already being taken along with the other post surgical medications? My husband got a new Galaxy Gear 7 Ultra watch and as soon as he did the ECG function it stated, Atrial Fibrillation- Irregular heart rhythm detected, talk to your doctor...

2 week post-op: Hemoglobin, hematocrit, RBC remain depressed

They freaked out on my husband too. The doctor wasn't going to let him go, but she called his main surgeon and he said he could go home.

    Hubby back in a-fib. *sigh*

It was only halving the dose for the one day. Then he was to go back on the 5.
