I too had Mitral valve and the dr. said it was from rhematic fever as a child and my parents and myself never knew i had it. Mitral Valve replaced May 10, 2011 27 mm bovine tissue.

I got shingles 2 months before my OHS and the dr. said it was because my immune system was so compromized and the Dr. had not found my heart valve problem yet. I got the shingles after getting severe pnemonia 3 times in 4 months.

I too am new to this site and am experiencing high blood pressure in the day and very low B.P. at night with severe tiredness.I had mitral valve surgery on may 10, 2011. I didn't start having problems with blood pressure until the past month my g.p.Dr.has me monitoring it and last week tried me...
