    Antidepressant and warfarin

Thank you both so much. I just had a long online chat with a Walgreen's pharmacist who said the Effexor effect on warfarin was moderate but nothing that would cause them to alert my Dr. Thank you for the suggestions.

    Antidepressant and warfarin

I welcome any information about antidepressants that can be used with warfarin. Effexor has been prescribed for me but I read the info about it that said it should not be used with warfarin. I was on Wellbutrin for a very long time but it was not helping any more so I need to find a replacement.

    Mayo Clinic

Greg--that's funny--I actually think this might be a good time of year to be able to get a quick appointment!

    Mayo Clinic

I am in the process of making an appointment at Mayo in Rochester to have my recent test results reviewed. The results show that I have moderately severe aortic insufficiency with perivalvular leak and I have severe mitral regurgitation. I had OHS in 2005 where my aorta was repaired and my...

please god tell me the ticking and popping feeling will get better!!

I had an AVR (mechanical) and aortic repair (dacron graft) 5 years ago and I was as distraught about the sound and feeling as you seem to be. I told the surgeon that I could feel and hear my heart and his reply was that I was supposed to. I didn't feel or hear it before the surgery so I was...

    Worry about activity level

In 2005 I had an aortic graft and aortic valve replacement--a St. Jude's valve. A recent heart cath showed that I have a perivalvular leak (the artificial valve) and moderately severe aortic insufficiency as well as severe mitral regurgitation and a "left main trunk kink." I have sent all of...

    Recliner chair for sleeping

I used a recliner for sleeping for at least 2 months as lying flat in bed was uncomfortable--not painful, just not comfortable. I couldn't manage "the stick" so my poor husband was on call to free me when needed. There must be some 'easy glide' recliners on the market. One of my most valuable...

    leaking St. Jude's valve

Thank all of you for information and support. In reading info on various internet sites it seems as though chest pain does go along with aortic valve problems. I wonder why my cardiologist thinks the chest pain might be something else like acid reflux? My plan is to gather the results of my...

    leaking St. Jude's valve

I have been having pain ( and the same kind of pain) in about the same place as when my aneurysm was diagnosed in 2005 so I had an echo and a CT scan last week. A fold in my aorta was observed so the cardiologist scheduled the angio for today. He is not concerned about the fold but said the...

    leaking St. Jude's valve

Thank you for the support. I do hope to hear from others as I am a little freaked out at the moment. It's hard to contemplate another OHS.

    leaking St. Jude's valve

After having an aortic aneurysm repaired and my aortic valve replaced 5 years ago, I had an angiogram today and learned that "there is quite a bit of leakage around the aortic valve" and the my mitral valve needs replacing as well. My cardiologist said we would talk after the first of the year...
