I am about to have a total ankle arthroplasty and I am on warfarin, my inr is 2-2.5. should I stop warfarin several days prior to surgery and resume after or should I bridge prior to procedure?

That should be up to the surgeon in conjunction with your cardiologist (or vice versa). Are you having an implant in the joint or just cleaning up bone and cartilage surfaces?
It’s not a bloody highly vascular area. The surgeon should be able to do the procedure while the INR is around 2 with good dissection and technique. Depends on what they’re doing and the skill and instrumentation they use.
All this should be discussed in detail at the pre-op visit.
Best wishes for a successful surgery.

What Jeff said above, but seems highly aggressive to me.
When I had surgery on my foot the surgeon didn't care about INR because he used a compression splint on my lower leg to cut circulation.

Discuss with the surgeon.
