My name is Mistie. My son (Hunter) has a BAV and a Dilated Aortic Root as well as Low Blood Pressure.
During the summer of 2011 before my son's 7th grade year he had a couple of fainting spells. We found out that he was fainting due to low blood pressure and he is on medication for it now. We also found out that he has BAV and a dilated aortic root because of the BAV. Fainting (syncope) is not a symptom of either one. We were very lucky to find out about both of them. I joined the group so I could ask questions and better understand what we are dealing with.
Hunter loves football, basketball, and plays drums in the school band. He is also interested in learning how to play the guitar.
