Congenital BAV diagnosed 10/83, Ascending Aortic Aneurysm diagnosed 12/04, PFO diagnosed 3/28/08.
Brother has BAV with ascending aortic aneurysm also.
Sister has PFO.

- Bicuspid Aortic Valve Repair, 4.5 cm Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Resection and PFO closure 4/11/08 at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Lars Svensson, surgeon. Surgery was recommended because the aneurysm had grown (4.1 - 4.5 cm) and I am 4'11" and 100 lbs.
- Medications
- Plavix for first month post surgery
low dose aspirin
- Occupation
- My husband and I raise Herefords and hay on our farm. Post surgery I will no longer be unloading hay and pulling calves.( I am 4'11 and 100 lbs.) So at the age of 49 I am trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life.
